SYNOPSIS:

This is the story of a murderer.

A stolen child.

Revenge.

This is the story of Ted, who lives with his daughter Lauren and his cat Olivia in an ordinary house at the end of an ordinary street.

All these things are true. And yet some of them are lies.

You think you know what's inside the last house on Needless Street. You think you've read this story before. But you're wrong. In the dark forest at the end of Needless Street, something lies buried. But it's not what you think…

MY THOUGHTS:

Oh my, this book! I simply could not put it down. A wonderful Gothic-thriller that has layers of twists and turns making it a very special book and one I will be raving about for years to come.

Dee lost her baby sister years ago after she mysteriously disappeared and it tore her family apart. Still determined to find out what happened to Lulu Dee has devoted most of her adult life trying to find her. Ted, a loner was a suspect in the orginal investigation and Dee believes he may hold the answers to her sister's disappearance. Moving into a rented house on Needless Street, Dee watches the strange comings and goings of Ted from the safety of her new home. Can she uncover the truth about what happened on that fateful day?

This mind blowing story is shocking, thrilling and simply a clever, mesmerising, addictive read. Although Ted is grubby, strange and a social outcast I couldn't help be drawn to him and his story. A touching, compelling read which I can't recommend highly enough.

This is the book everyone will be talking about this year.
